Gorgeous Peterson House Hunter Valley Wedding with Alpha Imagery

Ella's gift of organising produced a magnificent result for hers and Matt's stylish Hunter Valley Wedding. The only thing we couldn't control was the weather! But even that only gave opportunity for creative, eye catching photo moments. Peterson House provided the perfect setting, there's a reason it's the most popular Hunter Valley wedding venue! The beautiful white sandstone Chapel, the proximity to a field of grapevines, and the spacious Marquee provided everyone present with a taste of Hunter Valley hospitality while celebrating so many fun and joyous moments. This wedding showcased the beauty of family, faith and new love and it was a privilege to capture it all as the day unfolded.

Preparation

The family stayed overnight at Horizon 7 - a fantastic Airbnb around the corner from the venue that provided a great place for preparation photos

Ceremony

Ella and Matt's ceremony was so filled with meaningful moments, it was hard for me to keep up! In a special tradition for their family, Ella's dad married them and the worship songs brought tears to my eyes as the whole room sang them with conviction. The spacious stage meant I could get a kiss photo with the audience in the background - one of my favourite shots.

Bridal Party Photos

We used both the porch of the Chapel and the Vineyard which is walking distance for the Bridal party photos. After it started to rain a little, I pulled out the clear umbrellas I had brought (they have come in handy more than once!) and we moved to the porch of the main building for some under the veil shots

Reception

Then - it was time to party! Peterson House has a fantastic big white Marquee right next to the Vinyeyard, which made for a very romantic feel for the Reception. Ella and her dad performed a duet, and then Ella and Matt shared an intimate first dance. After some games, speeches, a Krispy Kreme Donut tower cake and dancing, the night was capped off with some magical backlit rain photos and a sparkler exit.
